Qualification Details:

In the pay scale of 14000-60500 (Pay Band No. 2) plus Rs. Applications have been invited from eligible candidates to fill 5 posts of Junior Assistant (HQ level) and 5 posts of Computer (HQ level). 6200 Grade Pay and other allowances as admissible under the rules, Rs. 14000-60500 (Pay Band No. 2) plus Rs. 32 in Junior Assistant (District Level) 32 posts pay scale. 5600 grade pay and other allowances admissible under the rules and for the post of 1 post of Stenographer (Grade-III) (Headquarters level) in the current pay scale of Rs 14000-60500 (pay band no. 2) plus Rs. 8700 grade pay and other allowances are admissible under the rules. 3. Eligibility Criteria: The candidate should fulfill the following criteria. a) Nationality: Candidates should be Indian citizens, who should normally be residents of Assam. b) Age: The candidate should not be more than 38 years of age and should be born by January 1, 2020 (on or before 18-01-2002 or after or before 01-01-1982). Relaxation: In the case of candidates belonging to SC, ST (H) and ST (P), the upper age limit is as follows: i) 5 (Five) years. ii) 3 (three) years in case of candidates belonging to OBC / MOBC. The candidates who had earlier applied for the posts of Junior Assistant (dist-level) as per the advertisement, have been published. No. Janasnag / D / 11915/17, dated 20-12-2017 and not intended to apply for other post accordingly. The current advertisement, the terms and conditions for eligibility will be governed as per the earlier advertisement dated 20-12-2017. Such candidates will also have to apply through the link given in the website www.slprbassam.in.further. Those candidates who applied against the aforesaid advertisement for the post of Junior Assistant (Dist-Level) and opted to apply for other posts also. According to the current advertisement, the terms and conditions for eligibility for new posts will be governed. For the purpose of setting the age limit, SLPRB will accept only the date of birth as recorded in the matriculation or equivalent examination certificate / admit card issued by a recognized board. No other age-related documents such as horoscopes, affidavits, birth extracts from the municipal corporation, health department, service records etc. will be accepted.

Educational Qualification: i) Junior Assistant (Headquarters and District Level) and Computer (Headquarters Level): Candidate should be Graduate in any stream from recognized college / institutes from a recognized university and pass with a recognized computer. needed. Age: Candidate should not be more than 38 years and less than 18 years of age as on 1st January, 2020 (candidate must born on or before 01-01-2002 and on or after 01-01-1982) . Testimonials / Documents to be submitted when appearing in Practical Test:

candidates should bring a set of attested photocopies along with the originals of the following documents for verification by the Selection Committee on the date of second phase of Practical Test. Candidates failing to bring the originals will not be considered for such qualifications as claimed by him/her and no further rectifications will be entertained after the test date. i. Certificate of proof of age. (Admit card of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination) ii. Original Certificate & marksheet of Graduation and Diploma in Computer certificate for Jr. Assistant (HQ and District Level) / Computor (HQ Level) and certificate of Stenography (in original) for Stenographers. iii. Certificate of additional qualification such as Degree / Diploma Certificate from recognized / accredited institute etc. ( pass certificate as well as marks sheet in original) iv. Certificate of Caste from the competent authority in respect of the candidates belonging to OBC & MOBC / SC / ST (P) / ST (H). v. EWS Certificate from Competent Authority, if any. vi. 2 (two) copies of recent passport size photographs which was uploaded in the online application.
SCRUTINY OF DOCUMENTS:- All the original documents along with a set of photostat copies of the documents will be checked before the qualified candidate is allowed to appear in the Practical Test. Submission of any incorrect information or forged document at any stage will lead to disqualification of the candidate and may also render him / her liable to criminal prosecution. Original documents of a candidate may be put to check at any later stage of the recruitment process. All the Photostat copies submitted by the candidates will have to be duly self attested by the candidate.

General Instructions To The Candidates :-

(i) Can disqualify such candidates directly or indirectly for the post.

(ii) No TA / DA will be acceptable to the candidates for the journey and will remain at any stage of the recruitment process.

(iii) There is no right of appointment in the selection list unless the department is fully satisfied about the suitability of the candidate after verification of all necessary documents for medical examination and eligibility, as from appointment to service / post. The first may be considered necessary.

(iv) Candidates have to appear in all stages of recruitment. If a candidate is absent from any stage, his / her candidature will be canceled.

(v) The candidate will be formally rejected at any stage of the recruitment process, if not found to be in conformity with the official format / incomplete information / incorrect information / incomplete requisite certificate (s) / incorrect details of the acts.

(vi) The selection list will be valid for appointment for one year from the date of declaration of result or until the date of next advertisement of the same post.

(vii) Newly appointed candidates will have to submit a promise that they will abide by the new pension rules.

(viii) The Chairman, SLPRB, Assam reserves the right to make changes or to cancel or postpone the recruitment process on specific grounds.

(ix) False information / misinterpretation of fake documents / facts, found at any stage before / after the appointment will lead to rejection and will make the candidate liable for criminal proceedings as per the existing law. (x) It is a criminal offense to bribe or offer any favor by a person or any person on behalf of a candidate. Such activity will lead to disqualification in the candidature of that particular candidate.

(xi) In case of any clarification, the decision of SLPRB, Assam will be final.

(xii) The number of vacancies is subject to change and the appointment for such vacancies will be decided on the basis of merit, on the basis of merit, as per the final merit list.

(xiii) Final selection after selection is subject to satisfactory police verification report and final medical examination report as per the existing norms. Selection Procedure :

There will be two tests i.e.

(i) Phase I testing and

(ii) Second stage examination for all the above posts. Candidates whose applications are found to be correct in all respects will be called for a written examination, ie, based on the number of candidates, will be held at District Headquarters / Range or any other convenient place (s). The candidates have to appear for the first stage test at the venue mentioned in their call letter. However, the Chairman, SLPRB, Assam has the right to change the venue (s) of the test as per the facility and no representation will be made in this regard. Before entering the examination center, each candidate will be biometricised. On arrival at the venue, the candidates’ admit card / call letter will be verified. a) First Phase Test: The written exam will be the first phase test for all the above posts. The written examination will be of 100 marks and will be completely OMR based. There will be 100 questions and each question will be of 1 (one) mark. There will be negative marking of ½ (half) marks for each wrong answer. Questions will be set in four parts (i) Logical reasoning, aptitude, (ii) Matters related to the history and culture of Assam and India,

(iii) understanding and

(iv) General knowledge. Candidates will have to use black ball pen to answer the OMR based answer book. The duration of the test will be 2½ (two and half) hours. B) Second Stage Test: After the completion of the written test, a merit list will be prepared for each category for both men and women based on the total marks in the written test. Candidates will be called for the second stage test in order of merit at the rate of 5 (five) times the number of posts allotted in respect of each cadre and category for both men and women. A list will be published on the SLPRB website as well as the leading dailies of Assam. If there is a candidate scoring the same marks in the written test, who is the last candidate selected for the second stage test by the formula 5 times in a particular case, then the candidate scoring the same score but not called for the second stage test also And therefore the number may exceed 5 times that limit for that particular case and category only. i) Practical test for component / 50 test of second stage test are as follows: Component time duration duration a) Computer based spelling test – 20 marks 10 minutes b) Computer based typing test – 20 marks 10 minutes c) Computer based MCQ Test – 10 Marks 10 Minutes 50 Marks Computer Based Spelling Test: Candidates have to correct the spelling from a given paragraph. The paragraph will contain 40 incorrect words. 0.5 marks will be given to correct a word and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong word. Computer Based Typing Test :: The candidate has to write the given paragraph in 200 words. 0.1 mark will be awarded for each correct word. Computer Based MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions related to Computer Knowledge) Test: For each correct answer there will be 20 questions for MCQ test.0.5 marks. There will be no negative marking.

How to Apply :

Candidates possessing the required qualifications for the posts can apply for the posts mentioned above by giving their first preference, second preference and third preference. Candidates will have to upload scanned copies of the following:

Passport Size Photo: – Please pay attention to upload good quality photos. The poor quality of the uploaded photo will cause your application to be rejected. The admit card will be printed with the photo you have uploaded.

i) Photograph should be in color and taken in a professional studio. A photo taken using a mobile phone and other self-made pictures is not acceptable.

ii) Photograph should be taken in a white or very light background.

iii) This photo must have been taken after July 1, 2020.

iv) The face should occupy about 50% of the area in the photograph, and the entire face should be seen directly in the camera.

v) The main features of the face should not be covered with head hair, any clothes or any shade. Forehead, both eyes, nose, cheeks, lips and chin should be clearly visible.

vi) If you usually wear glasses, glare on glasses is not acceptable in your picture. The glare can be avoided by tilting the glasses slightly downward for a photo shoot.

vii) You should not wear glasses with dark or colored glasses, only clear glasses are allowed.

viii) Ask your photo studio to provide the image in JPEG format and also on standard 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm (45 mm x 35 mm) prints.

ix) Maximum pixel resolution for JPEG: 40 x 9 0.3 (0.3 mega pixels) (if higher, ask your studio to reduce it to this resolution.

x) JPEG: Minimum pixel resolution for 320 x 240.

xi) Maximum file size is 450 kb (kg bytes).

xii) For your own benefit it cannot be done intentionally not to intentionally change your facial features or hairstyle from what is seen in the picture till the day of examination. b) Signature: – i) Please sign your signature with black or dark blue ink on a white paper. ii) Get a digital / photo signature scanned by a professional photo studio, and crop the image of yourself by the studio. iii) Only JPEG image format will be accepted.

iv) The maximum pixel resolution for the image is 800 x 300.

v) The minimum pixel resolution for the image is 400 x 150.

vi) The dimension of the signature image should be 3.5 cm (width) x 2.5 cm (height).

vii) Maximum file size is 100 kb. viii) Mobile phone photographs, which are not acceptable, and may result in disqualification of the application.

C) Documents: –

i) Age certificate (HSLC or equivalent examination admit card).

ii) Graduate or equivalent certificate and marksheet.

iii) Certificate on computer proficiency for the posts of juniors. And computers. In the case of degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent candidates from any Govt. Registered / UGC recognized / recognized universities / institutes, if any, can also upload a separate diploma certificate in the computer.

iv) Certificate of stenography for the post of stenographer

v) Caste certificate.

vi) EWS certificate from competent authority. The benefit of reservation under EWS can be availed on production of income and asset certificate issued by Circle Officer or Circle Officer (A) of the Revenue Circle, where the candidate and / or their families normally reside. Income and asset certificate issued by any one of the following officers in the prescribed format as Annexure-I (uploaded in SLPRB website) will be accepted only as proof of claim of candidate belonging to EWS. After this, the candidates will click on the ‘Complete’ button and indicate that they agree with all the entries made in the form. Then candidates can download the registration / application slip with ID number. It is mandatory for the candidates to mention their full / proper address along with the PIN code, a valid email address and mobile phone number will be required in the application form, inform them about the status of their applications and provide other relevant information. A candidate whose application is found in order will be called for the first phase test. Candidates will be able to download their admit card / call letter from the SLPRB website by entering their ID number. Candidates will be sent information via SMS and email to their mobile number and email address. The department will not be responsible for any discrepancy arising due to entry of wrong mobile number and email address by the candidate. Incomplete / defective / invalid applications will be summarily rejected. Candidates who are employees of the government. / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies will have to obtain necessary permission in writing from the competent authority / employer and a copy of the same can be prepared during the examination of documents on the day of the practical test.
