Reserve Bank of India – Recruitment – Legal Officer Grade ‘B’ (Ii) Manager (Tech – Civil) (Iii) Assistant Manager (Official Language) (Iv) Assistant Manager (Protocol & Security) for the post of Panel Year 2020 (I)

The Reserve Bank of India Service Board (Board) invites applications from eligible candidates for the posts mentioned below in the Reserve Bank of India (RBI / Bank):

1. Post: Legal Officer in Grade ‘B’

2. Number of posts: 11

3. Job requirements: (i) Reference to legal issues received from the bank and its associate institutions, mainly related to interpretation of various laws such as Reserve Bank of India Act 1934, Banking Regulation Act 1949. Foreign Exchange Management Act 1999, Companies Act 2013, etc. (ii) Preparation of preliminary drafts of legislation to be administered / administered by the bank. (iii) Drafting of the litigation requests and detailed instructions / statements relating to the bank and its associates. (iv) Appearing before the bank on behalf of Conciliation Officer, Labor Court, Tribunal etc.

4. Educational Qualification (till 01 February 2021)

Essential: One (i) two years experience in a lawyer or lawyer’s office or law firm after being enrolled in a lawyer or legal advisor / legal assistant / bar council; Or (ii) as a law officer in the legal department of a large bank / financial institution / statutory corporation / company / state / central government; Or (iii) as a full-time teacher in a law college / university, teaching law.

6. Desirable: Special knowledge of banking law, company law, labor law and constitutional law and experience in drafting pleas and documents

1. Candidates to ensure eligibility for the posts:

(i) Before applying, candidates should ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria for the advertised positions. I. Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries. Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that the candidate belonging to categories (B), (C), (D) and (E) shall be the person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. 2. Mode of Application: Candidates will have to apply online only through the Bank’s website www.rbi.org.in.

4. Use of mobile phones and other electronic devices:

General Instructions: RBI Recruitment 2021 Notification Released

(A) Correspondence with the Board: The Board shall not enter into any correspondence with the candidates except in the following cases: An Admit Card will be issued to the eligible candidates two weeks before the commencement of the examination. The admit card will be made available on the bank’s website www.rbi.org.in for download by the candidates. No Admit Card will be sent by post. If a candidate does not receive his e-admit card or any other communication for the examination two weeks before the commencement of the examination, he should contact the help facility as stated above.

(B) No candidate will be allowed to take the examination unless he holds the admit card for the examination. On downloading the e-admit card, check it carefully and immediately bring discrepancies / errors, if any, to the board’s notice.

(C) Proof of identity to be submitted at the time of examination: At the time of appearing for the examination, the candidates must produce a photocopy of the currently valid photo identity card, original and admit card. Card. Acceptable photo identity card is PAN card / passport / driving license / voter card / bank passbook with photo / photo identity proof issued on official letterhead / official identity proof issued by official letterhead / People’s Representative. Photo with a recognized college / university / e-Aadhaar card / Aadhaar card with photo / employee ID / bar council identity card. (A) The board assumes no responsibility for candidates who have not submitted their applications within the last date or for any other reason beyond the control of the board.

(F) Candidates should note that their admission to the examination will be purely provisional based on the information given in the application form. This will be subject to verification of all eligibility conditions by the board / bank. Selection Process : RBI Recruitment 2021 Notification Released

Selection will be through online and offline examination (Paper-1 and Paper-II examination will be conducted on the same day) and interview:

1. Online Examination: Paper-I Objective Type Test

a. Professional knowledge / job knowledge test: duration, 1 hour, marks, 100

2. Offline Exam: Paper-II Descriptive Type Test

B. Paper Standard B.E. Degree: Duration, 3 hours, marks, 100 (total marks 200)

3. In Paper-I, there will be negative marking for every wrong answer. Only those candidates who will appear in both papers will be evaluated. Only those candidates who score sufficiently high marks in Paper-II decided by the Board will be evaluated. The examination papers will be scheduled in Hindi and English. The examination will consist of two papers, Paper I – (Objective Type) online and Paper II – [(Computer / Paper Based) Written Examination].

5. In Paper-I, there will be negative marking for every wrong answer. The Paper-2 examination will be of one hour duration, in which candidates will have to assess the ability to translate from Hindi to English and basic knowledge of the official language policy of the Government of India and vice versa.

6. Paper-I and Paper-II examination will be conducted in the same session on the same day without any leave. Paper-I (except English language test) and Paper-II question papers will be set bilingually in Hindi and English. Candidates can answer the examination in Hindi or English (as applicable) at their option. Candidates can opt for interview in Hindi or English. Only those candidates who score sufficiently high marks and minimum qualification marks in each examination as decided by the Board will be evaluated in Paper-II. Based on the total marks obtained in Paper-I and Paper-II, the candidates will be shortlisted for the interview.
